A Lender Saying “No” Is Painful... It's Not a Judgment on Your Potential.
Before sending another application, ask what specifically affected their decision. Was it the amount, the documentation, cash flow, timing, or a lender requirement?
Then turn the answer into a short action plan: what needs to change, what evidence will show the change, and when you'll reassess.
Sometimes the next step is a stronger application.
Sometimes it is a smaller funding request, a different funding path, or a little more time to prepare. The goal is not to rush into another offer. It is to choose a path that fits the business you are building.
I’m sharing more in “What to Do When a Lender Says No,” the final article in my Funding and Capital series.
